Holidays & Religious Observances

Home to the Ark of the Covenant, Ethiopia is a religious destination for Christians from all corners of the world. From Lalibela to the churches found all over the country, the celebrations are rich in experience and energy. Full of history and tradition, the practices during ceremonies stretch back many centuries. Often they are accompanied with music, dance and food so good, it's dangerous to eat with your hands the first few times you have it.
